About

As an environmental science student, I am painfully aware of the cost and impacts of poor farming but widely accepted agricultural choices. I am aware of the cost not only to our health, but to the environment which sustains us. We made a decision some years ago, as a family, to not support industries that do not make all efforts to support the environment by developing sustainable farming practices. The result of this ethical choice has changed our diet slightly, for the better. We source only sustainable, ethical food products for our consumption which in turn feeds our karma and soul.

Several years ago, I developed gestational diabetes while pregnant. After the pregnancy ended, my diabetes remained. As someone who enjoys cooking, I’ve had to adapt many family favourite recipes to be more diabetic friendly. This blog brings you some of those recipes with sustainable and ethical consumption habits in mind. Its my hope that you will enjoy what I put here.

I am a happily married 40 something mother of two living on the far north New South Wales coast of Australia. I have dark hair, olive skin, and brown eyes. The rest is subject to change without notice.

I love your description of yourself! I also like the values you place on your cooking and eating habits! BRAVO! I was born in Massachusetts, are you from Boston? Either way I wish I had seen your blog before attempting my fried wontons with my daughter, although fun, what a mess!! I shall be checking back more often.

Mizrhi, this is a fantastic blog platform!! I’m a culinary student and am fortunate to be in a program with an instructor that places huge focus on sustainable and ethical sourcing and eating. It has literally changed my life and has become such a passionate issue for me, even over the last few months. I look forward to continuing to follow you and learn from your posts! 🙂

I was quite tickled to stumble across your blog this morning too, TT! How do you feel about doing a guest blog spot on my foodie blog? If you want, we can do a guest blog post exchange as we are both have similar focuses?
